Kru Ram – Muay Thai & Kickboxing Coach “The Fighting Minister” | Chop City
Kru Ram is a Muay Thai and Kickboxing coach with over a decade of experience across the GTA. A battle tested fighter and trusted coach, he has trained world level athletes and guided many through their own path of growth and discipline. His own journey includes titles like WBC Canadian National Champion, Rise of the Warrior Canadian National Champion, CASC Provincial Tournament Champion, and WKF National Tournament Champion. Outside the ring, Kru Ram carries a deep passion to serve and give back the same love, support, community, and art that saved his life. Through his full-time work as Pastoral and Spiritual Care Advisor at Covenant House Toronto, he walks with youth experiencing homelessness and survivors of sex trafficking, using psychotherapy, spiritual care, mentorship, and martial arts as ways to bring healing and empowerment. His approach blends movement and mindfulness with faith and healing, creating space for mental health and spiritual growth to come together. In the gym, he carries that same heart for healing and growth, letting therapy and martial arts move as one. It’s about finding balance, connection, and peace through the harmony of body, mind, and spirit. He brings energy, intensity, mindfulness, and compassion into every session. Chop City is more than a name to him. It’s a way of life, born from struggle and grounded in faith, where every fight becomes a lesson in growth and purpose. At Naka Martial Arts, Kru Ram challenges every student to show up fully, breathe through the struggle, and rise stronger than they were yesterday — becoming the champion they are truly meant to be, in and out of the ring. “Triumph Over Tragedy. Every round. Every rep. Every breath.”
